A Steveston Coal Harbour Sunrise – courtesy of bruce…

I know the image is a stretch, but hear me out for a second (although I should simply get a picture of my view – just call me lazy).

I’m not exactly sure what it is about this time of year, but I outright enjoy sitting on my balcony in the early morning watching the sun come up. The colours of the sky seem to be so vibrant, the morning air has a crisp sense of fall to it, and it’s not too cold that I feel the hair in my nose begin to ice up. If I have the wherewithal, I also grab a cup of fresh coffee and spend close to 5 or 10 minutes collecting myself.

It was today, at the end of a relatively stressful week, that I actually got back to the regular routine. And to think that all it took was a quick 5 minute refresher soaking up the sunrise to figure out that things weren’t all that bad.

So what do you do to find your inner centre?
