With the Stanley Cup playoffs near, it’s time for all of us to get their beard on. That’s right. It’s playoff beard time.

I’ve never had an opportunity to grow a playoff beard for a playoff of my own, so as I true fanatic, I live vicariously through others. It’s usually the Canucks who gain the favour all my facial hair can bring, but I have also been known to toss out the razor when the BC Lions (only done for “MO-vember” because the ‘stache doesn’t suit me) are working their post-season magic as well.

Well, during a recent discussion with a few Canucks Fan Zone Live Blog regulars, the topic moved to what we could do to celebrate the long post-season run we all expect to see as apparently women growing playoff beards is not generally accepted. So after coming to a conclusion with Sabrina of what she could do to celebrate the playoffs, Richard took offense to a little smack talk. So being the sporting fellow I am, I say it’s on. Playoff beard duel to the death!
